Vattenfall Eldistribution operates a critical infrastructure that distributes more than half of all electricity produced in Sweden. To meet the needs of the business, the Contract Management department will form two new divisions. We are therefore looking for two department heads distributed across the following divisions:

Department Head Operational Contract Management (larger service agreements)

Department Head Project Contract Management and Support (program and investment projects)

Together, these will be responsible for compiling requirements and needs from across the company to ensure appropriate agreements. We provide strategic and tactical governance and unified management of our supplier agreements. The operation conducts overall analyses, development, and follow-up to ensure compliance with agreements, creates opportunities, educates, digitizes, and supports the operation to become an even better professional buyer.

Included in the assignment are, among other things:

  • Keeping track of the supplier market to ensure that we procure correctly and receive the delivery we want in collaboration with project implementation and purchasing.
  • Keeping current contract documents available internally and externally.
  • Maintaining an up-to-date contract register.

The respective areas of responsibility of the departments are determined by which agreements and functions belong to the operations that the department supports. The new departments are distributed among 12 and 8 employees, primarily located in Solna, Luleå, and Trollhättan.

As a Department Head, you will inspire and engage our employees within your area of responsibility and ensure that set goals are achieved. In your assignment, you and your colleagues will create conditions for our success by working towards common company and unit goals. The position suits you who see all employees and enjoy handling challenges at the intersection of supplier, customer, and society.

Examples of Tasks

  • Lead the department and be the immediate manager for 8 and 12 employees respectively.
  • Ensure that processes and routines we have for how we procure and manage supplier agreements are followed.
  • Lead and drive the department and develop employees, and together with the process department, develop working methods.
  • Be responsible for maintaining dialogue with the rest of the business so that we can contribute to them within our area of responsibility, as well as maintain dialogue with and monitor our supplier market.
  • You are good at building and maintaining relationships both internally and externally.
  • Ensure efficient resource utilization and collaboration both within and outside the department.

Requirements

We are looking for you who have a relevant academic degree or equivalent experience through work with similar issues in the energy or construction industry. If you have experience leading similar operations either on the client side or the contractor side, it is a merit. You need to have leadership experience from previous managerial positions or equivalent experience that we assess as comparable.

You are driven to develop both people and working methods and have the ability to inspire and get your employees to grow and feel engaged in the change work together with colleagues within the company. For this position, you need to be solution-oriented and creative as well as proactive.

You will have many contacts with both internal and external parties, which is why the ability and willingness to collaborate, influence, and contribute to the development of the business is important. Furthermore, you have a communicative ability both in written and oral presentation and feel comfortable addressing questions from our partners. To convey your decisions and business challenges, you have the ability to create presentations and reports in both Swedish and English.
